Cronos has unveiled its 2025-2026 roadmap, outlining plans to launch a comprehensive tokenization platform for multiple asset classes.

Cronos (CRO) has unveiled its 2025–2026 roadmap, outlining plans to become a core infrastructure provider for tokenized assets and AI-driven finance.

According to the announcement, over the next 12 to 18 months, Cronos will roll out a full-service tokenization platform supporting a wide range of asset classes—including equities, real estate, commodities, funds, insurance, and forex. The platform will offer instant settlement, yield generation, lending, and integration with DeFi applications.

To make its infrastructure AI-native, Cronos will launch a new AI Agent SDK and a Proof of Identity standard, enabling AI agents to interact directly with onchain financial systems.

The integration with Crypto.com is expected to be the key driver of adoption for Cronos’ upcoming tokenization platform, providing direct access to over 150 million users and 10 million merchants.

Cronos to accelerate institutional adoption via ETFs and treasuries

In addition to expanding retail adoption, Cronos plans to boost institutional demand by continuing to support the creation and growth of CRO ETFs in U.S. and European markets. Partners including 21Shares, Canary Capital, and Trump Media Technology Group are already helping push these ETFs to increase CRO adoption.

Furthermore, Cronos will back digital asset treasuries that incorporate CRO into their investment strategies. Notably, this comes amid heightened institutional interest, highlighted by the recent $6.4 billion SPAC merger involving Trump Media and Crypto.com, which aims to establish a dedicated CRO treasury and validator.

By the end of 2026, Cronos aims to reach $20 billion in CRO demand from public market vehicles, tokenize $10 billion in real-world assets, and attract 20 million users across centralized and decentralized platforms.
